I appreciate all the kind words, I really do. I believe it's you guys that keep me going, I can have a positive attitude all day long, but it doesn't help if people aren't around to cheer you on. I appreciate that cause sometimes the pain can be intense. I'm just grateful I don't have the swelling like they said, but I'm weird and nothing ever goes as plan...LOL

Thanks everyone.

Thank you ladies,

I really appreciate your support, cause I have needed it. I'm not ashamed to say that regular friends and FB friends have helped tremendously. So many people know my struggle with WLS and really didn't want me to go and have this done, but I felt I would be just fine. And it was fine, which a part of me is still waiting for the shoe to drop, but it's all positive attitude.

Thank you again,
Berrigirl

I've been there myself. It gets so much better from here. Unfortunately, I didn't get what you'd call "cosmetic quality results", but it makes a world of difference not to have all that skin and flab hanging down the front of you!

This makes my heart very happy! I know what kinda of hell you have been through post-bypass, so this is incredibly good news! I am so glad you have been surrounded by your friends (both physically and virtually)...we all need the support. Keep up the great attitude -- you know how critical that is to recovery :-) Hugs (gentle hugs, naturally...)

I dont know much about weightloss surgery, but about 4 yrs ago my mother decided to undergo a gastric bypass. I was worried because just the thought of surgery scares me. Well she came out of it just fine. But shortly after she started getting spells of vomiting after eating. The doctor tried to tell her that its due to overeating or eating sugary foods well. she wasnt overeating, for the first time in my life she was eating less then me, and it wasnt sugar, because her nutritionist put her on a specialized diet. Shortly after this started it stopped. We never did find the right answer, everyone seemed to be going in circles. Though one doctor whom I give a lot of credit to, did say that everyones bodies react very differntly to many things, no matter how begnine they seem to be. So he claims that its just a natural reaction to her body changing so rappidly, and that many things could form or disappear due to so many changes at once. Here is a link that may help to answer any questions http://www.nationalbariatriclink.org/faq-on-weight-loss-surgery.htmlchanges at once.
