Happy 1 yr. Blogger Anniversary…

I can’t believe I have been blogging for 1 yr. already…I never pictured myself doing something like this, but I couldn’t have done it without my readers because without you I’m nothing…I truly mean that with all of my heart, you will never know how much I care for each and every one of you…Even if you don’t comment, I care and always will…

I have to give a couple of special people in my life a shout out…First off I could never have done this without my husband who kept encouraging me to tell my story regardless how people perceived it…He always told me people needed to hear another side of the story regardless how bad it was…I love you honey and always will…Secondly I have to give a shout out to a dear friend who has become a sister to me who helped push me along when I was too afraid to be in the front and center…Naturegirl you will always have a place in our hearts and home…

How could I forget the people(Bloggers) who have accepted me and welcomed me with open arms into this community…And alot of them have become such dear, dear friends in the online world and real life…Here are just a few names mentioned: Melinda(recoveringfatty), Tammy T., Linda Eaves, Cari(gastricbypassbarbie), BariatricTV , Twitter Community etc…If I didn’t mention you, trust me your in my heart…

Again, I love everyone of you and thank you for letting me put my story out there…

Love,
Berrigirl

    Aww thanks, Heather!

It sure does not seem like one year. Time flies when you are enjoying yourself… I’ve enjoyed reading your blog, hopefully there will be many more years of success. Hugs sistah!

    Thank you Melinda,

It’s nice when you have the support of friends and fellow WLS’ers…It’s hard in this community but I wouldn’t change it either…:)

    Love ya to sistah!

  3. Bless your heart! You are so sweet to mention me in your blog. Has it REALLY already been a whole year??? Oh my goodness! I can’t be a year older; I just CAN’T be! (LOL). Have you found that blogging has helped you to better cope with your medical situations? Do you feel better able to deal with some of the disappointments you’ve been dealt in your Bariatric After Life? I’m just curious, because I know my blogging is very therapeutic for me. Good for you for continuing to “let it all hang out” — I know you are inspiring and educating others through your honesty and openness. Hey, life ain’t pretty, but you are handling it with such grace and aplomb, I know I am not alone in my appreciation for what you are doing! Hang in there and keep fighting the good fight, doll! Muah! :-*

    Cari,

I appreciate you and I believe all of us WLS bloggers or readers need to stick together and be one…So Thank you for your compliment…

Do I find it therapeutic?? In some ways yes and I also find it quite difficult cause I feel like I\’m coming off as a sick person that needs to be dealt with gentle hands when really I\’m a strong person…I dislike being the one telling people the rough side of it, but I know it needs to be told as well…Even if one person is listening then I know my sickness has been worth it…Cause I don\’t want another to experience this and that is why I fight to teach people and Doctors especially…

Hello there, sista friend, and congratulations on your one-year blogging anniversary! This is a big deal, right along with our surgiversaries. I’m proud of you for being so open and honest, and proud of Josh for doing the same. Not a lot of people get the spousal support that you, Melinda, and Cari have, so it’s tremendously important. I love you, and here’s hoping that this will be an outstanding year for you! P.S. I hope you’re feeling better, too!

  6. Berrigirl says:

    T2Nashville,

I love you so much…You have become such a dear friend and I’m very lucky to have you and everyone else in my life…Thank you for that friendship…

We need to get together soon…

    Love,
    Berrigirl

Hey honey. I’m so proud of you and all of the lives that you have touched. It takes alot of courage for you to share your story and to be so open and honest. No matter if you are having a good day or not you always have a positive attitude and thats one of the things that I love about you the most. Thanks to all of the friends and support that we have met along the way.

HA, no way I remembered a date before being reminded, LOL!!!!!

I swear it flew by….it doesn\’t seem that long, and there\’s so much more to tell as well as so many more people who need to hear the reality……it\’s only the beginning *wink*….

I\’d say out of all the accomplishments of the past year, the most rewarding has been to find other people out there who can relate to what you\’re going thru, an understanding that you share with others…you may have become the \"voice in the wilderness\" but you sure found out you\’re not alone…..this will only grow as more time goes on…..

Other people don\’t always have the courage to tell you that you made them think twice about a decision or maybe to go see a Doctor for some things that are happening to them post surgery, but they are out there & they not only found a bit of solace from reading your blogs but you may have even improved their life……cuz I\’m sure it\’s happened in more than a few instances….

So, here\’s a pepsi toast to many, many more years of enlightening *grin*….

And careful, me n Screemy may just take you up on that \"home\" offer hehehe……

  9. Berrigirl says:

    Naturegirl,

You know the home is always opened to you and screemy…I’m not William and wouldn’t treat you like he has been doing lately….Your my sister and always will be…Without you this wouldn’t have happened because I was scared to do this and you kept encouraging me and I did it…Thank you for that and especially your friendship…

    Love,
    Berrigirl

Toasting a glass of my favorite beverage back at you! Congrats on your one year blog-her-versary. Thanks for helping me hang in there and to make me remember what to be grateful for. This quote from the latest Alice in Wonderland movie reminds me of us..

The Mad Hatter: Have I gone mad?
    [Alice checks Hatter's temperature]
Alice Kingsley: I’m afraid so. You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
